Free Time & Closing Thoughts
One of the aspects of a Rick Steves tour that appealed to us was the balanced combination of organized tour time and free time. We had fun experiencing the "City of Light" at night, visiting the Arc De Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower both a must see. We also enjoyed roaming around small alley ways taking in gardens and small bistros to enjoy a glass of wine and people watch. One of the highlights was a quick metro ride to Pere Lachaise Cemetery where Jim Morrison was laid to rest back in 1971. On our last day after breakfast, which the hotel provided, we said our final goodbyes to our new friends. If your chose to visit this magnificent city our new friends would agree that you will fall in love with the beauty of its architecture, its cuisine, its WINE :), its pulse, and its people. We have vowed to return one day, but for now we are looking ahead to planning another Rick Steves' adventure in a new and exciting destination!
